Verify Your Sender Details
How to configure and verify your sender name and email address so your emails are delivered reliably.
Before sending campaigns or activating workflows with email steps, you need to verify your sender details. This tells FlowNurture (and your recipients' mail servers) who the email is from.
What sender details control
- Sender name — the "from" name recipients see (e.g. "Jane at Acme Co")
- Sender email — the "from" address (e.g. jane@acme.com)
How to set up
- Go to Settings → Sender
- Enter your sender name and email address
- Click Save
- Open the verification email and click the confirmation link
Required before sending
Campaigns will not send and workflow email steps will fail if your sender is not verified. This is the most common setup blocker for new users.
Best practices
Use a recognizable sender name. Recipients decide whether to open based on who it's from.
- Good: "Jane from Acme Co" or "Acme Co"
- Avoid: "noreply" or blank names
Use your business domain. Free email providers (gmail.com, yahoo.com) have lower trust.
- Good: hello@acme.com
- Avoid: acmeco@gmail.com
Set up custom domain sending (Starter+). Configure DKIM, SPF, and DMARC in Settings → Sender for better deliverability.
Troubleshooting
Didn't receive the verification email? Check spam/junk, confirm the address is correct, and try resending from Settings → Sender.
Emails going to spam after verification? Set up custom domain sending, avoid spam-trigger words in subject lines, and warm up gradually — don't blast your entire list on day one.
Want to change your sender email? Update the address in Settings → Sender and complete verification again.
